Suddenly art update Pfffft as if.

Alternative title "Half-smirk"

Maaaaaaaaajorly experimental (no shit Sherlock), in style and in shadowing (somewhat). Different references used with drawing and in inspiration.

Request done for ~dreamer78905, her character Hana. This was an interesting one, for I only had a verbal description of her and no reference picture. In an instant after reading the description I knew I wanted to try something tad different from my "usual" stuff _{(idek if I have anything "usual" in style or in anything else really)}, but couldn't decide what exactly. At first I wanted to make a computer-colored pencil sketch, but then my lazyness got the best of me. A portrait of her would've been beautiful (I already sketched one, might finish it some day), but then again I really wanted to draw her full outfit, but didn't feel like struggling with human anatomy. After a while of brainstorming, I decided on this. I kind of intended to make it more chibi-ish, even if I know I'm horrible with them nowadays, but somehow it turned out more cartoony, imo. Dunno if that's a bad thing tho'.

The hair's a bit longer than in the original description (it was supposed to be waist-length, but I wanted to add volume and let that checkerboard-pattern show more), also improvised with it as I forgot to ask what kind of forelocks she has if she has any. Also gave my own touch to the dress, instead of drawing a simple black dress I added those transparent parts, still keeping the original design.

I do know that the shadow is horribly crooked, at least on the head, but that was honestly the best I could do, I spent all the time my rather short attention span could provide on trying to fix and make it better but it just refused to work with me. So no comments on that, okay? If you have an idea of why it looks so wrong and what could be done, in that case feel free to tell me, but otherwise yeah, it's wrong I know. Also yes I know that the splash-effect-thing on the top is off, I only realized it after scanning. You learn from mistakes I suppose.

Experimental is experimental and mistakes exist, but I rather like the outcome, still, also it was fun to draw. Not really my kind of style, also partly copied from here and there, so I probably won't use it much, but nice experiment anyway.
